CUSTOMER: Yes, I’m having some difficulty installing UberWordSoftPro on my new computer…
ALEX: What seems to be the problem?
CUSTOMER: Well, it claims I’ve already installed the application on another machine.
ALEX: UberWordSoftPro comes with the latest in Digital Rights Management technology… to help us combat software piracy. You need to uninstall and de-register the software on the other machine before you can transfer it to your new one.
CUSTOMER: It’s not installed on another machine. I just bought this software yesterday.
ALEX: Well maybe the machine had –
CUSTOMER: I just bought the machine last week.
(Silence.)
ALEX: It’s probably a problem with a third-party printer driver.
CUSTOMER: Oh no you don’t.
