VIKTOR SCHRECK: It appears everything is in order. he wants us to file the lawsuit as soon as the courts open on Monday.
ALICE: Why does he want to wait till then? I thought everything was done electronically these days?
VIKTOR SCHRECK: Oh, indeed. I believe he thinks waiting will be more dramatic – it gives the press more time to speculate before the actual event. But we already know the venue, and we already know the judge. At this point it’s just a matter of moving the paperwork along.
ALICE: We know who the judge will be?
VIKTOR SCHRECK: We do.
JUDGE: Bailiff, why do I feel like a shadow of doom has fallen across my soul?
BAILIFF: I’m sure it’s nothing.

hat tip to Ken White?
Heh. Well, the dynamic between the Judge and Ubersoft was established before I really knew about Popehat, and in general I assume lawyers roll their eyes at my legal themed strips, because they’re not so much accurate as a possible reflection of what they look like to people on the outside.
Though I almost did a RICO storyline based on one of his rants about how it’s almost never RICO. Ultimately I decided I’d have to spend too much time explaining everything before I could get the jokes in, so it didn’t get very far.
