ALEX: So what did you finally decide to do?

PHIL: Well, I thought about all the evil programs that were already out there.

PHIL: I mean, there’s already a been a significant amount of time and effort put into the field of malevolent programming. not only are there all kinds of viruses, but we have spyware, file-sharing programs, spyware disguised as file-sharing programs, cookies that give out your personal data to spammers, not to mention spammers themselves, new and thoroughly aggravating kinds of pop-up ads… the list goes on and on.

PHIL: It reminded be a lot of back in the day, when we were trying to position UberWordOfficeSoft Pro as the premier office suite. we had plenty of competition back then. But we came up with a concept that none of the other suites could compete against… Mostly because we had a home-field advantage that we refused to give up, and we were able to leverage that advantage into the eventual domination of an entire market. And do you know what that advantage was?

ALEX: Evil sorcery?

PHIL: I was leaning toward “product integration,” but I guess it’s pretty much the same thing.
