BOSS: Give me the bad news.
VIKTOR SCHRECK: The European Commission has fined us about 600 million dollars — er, Euros — wait… Well, a fair amount of money at any rate, for being a monopoly. Also, we can no longer bundle our music player with our operating system.
BOSS: What is the good news?
VIKTOR SCHRECK: We seem to be legally permitted to require that developers pay for a license to use our API… Any competitor who wants their product to be able to communicate with any of our products, including our operating system, can be required to pay an exorbitant fee.
(Silence.)
