NARRATOR: His name was Lenny. he arrived out of nowhere — a smooth-talking, well-dressed charmer who swept April off her feet in a whirlwind of poetry and dancing.

NARRATOR: He didn’t come from the right side of town, but he knew how to play the part: he said all the right things, dressed int he latest fashions, knew which fork to use with the salad. He wasn’t like them, but he knew how to fit.

NARRATOR: April loved him. Her friends loved him. The press loved him. Society loved him.

NARRATOR: August hated him the minute they met.
