Curveball

The First Year of Curveball is now Free

Submitted by C B Wright on

I know the website has been pretty quiet for the last month, but I've actually been working rather furiously to try to get some things done.

Last October I got the Year One and Year Two runs of Curveball professionally edited, which I then used to update the Curveball Year One Omnibus, and then release Curveball Year Two. Since then I've been trying to move those edits into the individual issues. I finally finished that last week, and delivered a batch of updated issues for my Patreon Subscribers.

Now I've finally updated the versions I sell online, and on top of it all I've also made Issues 1-12 completely free.

Curveball Year Two: That Which Does Not Dream, Available Now

Curveball Year Two: That Which Does Not Dream is now available for purchase on Amazon.com, Kobo, Google Play, iBooks, Page Foundry/Inktera, and Scribd in eBook format. It should also be available in the Barnes & Noble online store soon.

If paperbacks are more your thing, the Curveball Year Two trade paperback is also immediately available on the CreateSpace and Amazon online stores. It may start showing up in other places eventually, but that tends to take longer. Anyone who purchases the trade paperback on Amazon also gets the Kindle version free through Amazon's Kindle Matchbook program.

Trade Paperback is $14.50, eBook is $3.99.

But that's not all!

Curveball Back Issues Edited, Updates Coming Soon

There has been a lot of behind-the-scenes activity on the Curveball serial. Some of it has been for Issue 26, which I need to finish up... er... very soon, but a lot more of it has been for Issues 1-24.

I'm working on collecting Issues 13-24 into a Curveball Year Two book. Part of that was getting them actually edited, and I figured that while I was at it I might as well get Issues 1-12 edited, and re-issue Curveball Year One with all-new, cleaned-up text.

But wait... there's more.

Things I Didn't Know I Still Had: Curveball, the Webcomic Script

Submitted by C B Wright on

So sometimes when I dig through my files I find things that surprise me. This is one of those times.

Waaaaay back in 2000 or 2001--back when I still lived in Raleigh, NC--I came up with the basic idea that eventually turned into the Curveball Prose Comic Serial. I eventually abandoned it because I realized there was no way I could ever draw it, and I didn't know anyone who would be interested in collaborating on it. So the idea sat for... oh... about ten years before I picked it up again.

But today, as I was looking through my fiction files, I found the original script that I wrote when I still thought it might be a webcomic. And now I'm posting it for all the world to see.

Patreon: Because November Isn't Busy Enough

Things I did yesterday:

Why would I even think of doing this in November, you ask? Because when I make poor decisions, I make them enthusiastically.
