Upcoming Interruption of Schedule

Submitted by C B Wright on

Good morning, happy Monday, ugh. All the basics. An important announcement to start off the week:

I am moving to another state

Early next month (basically a couple weeks from now) I will be moving to Montgomery, Alabama. Preparing for this is pretty distracting: there’s a lot to do, not a lot of time to do it, and I still have to do things like “work” and “earn money,” which is inconvenient.

The move is affecting updates to content on this site

The site itself isn’t moving, but it’s going to be affected by all the time we’re putting into it. Updates will be erratic, and some plans for content will be kicked down the curb as I’m forced to triage my online activities.

Here’s what you can expect

Help Desk will continue to be updated, but intermittently.

Curveball should continue to update on time (it’s a monthly update so it should be easier to manage. Plus I spent a lot of effort getting that publication cycle back on track and I don't want it unraveling again...)

Those of you patiently waiting for another update to The Points Between will have to wait a little longer. I apologize for that. I have been trying to resume regular updates for a while, but the next few months are going to be too hectic. The Points Between will return in July. Again, my apologies.

Kernel Panic, Old Skool Webcomic, PCtown. I don’t think Kernel Panic or PCtown will be making any appearances in the next few months. Old Skool Webcomic might if something bizarre strikes me. OSW is pretty much all about what happens when bizarre things strike me.

Please excuse the mess as the move progresses. To be fair, it may be completely indistinguishable from the usual mess associated with this site, but please excuse it anyway. :-)

Good luck!

Hopefully your daughter handles the move okay. So far as "something bizarre" striking you goes, if it does, I hope it's not a ship. Those hurt.

I expect so...

... I'd get a hell of a comic out of that though.

I'd say "Good luck with the move", but....

You're probably too busy to read the note....

I'll check in frequently, but expect to see you in a month or two.

hey Chris

Best of luck with the move. I am sorry I was hounding you to update Points Between wanted to make sure you had not forgotten it. I look forward to its resuming in July and meanwhile I might read more of curveball or maybe more of Help desk. Have a safe and easy move.

You weren't hounding me...

... I just wanted people following it to know what was up, and that it wasn't being abandoned.
