It is gone now, because I have deleted it, but gosh it was interesting.

Hey Chris... Did you just zap

Hey Chris... Did you just zap another forum spam?  I loaded my Tracker page earlier today, as part of several dozens of webcomics and assorted other things to read, but did not get to your site until just now (one more crazy day at the consulting office...).  When I went to click on a forum link with similar incoherent stuff, I got an error reporting that the page was missing.

Is this another arms race?

I did. Some spammers are

I did. Some spammers are actually creating accounts on the site, getting past mollom, and since the forum is a place where members can post articles instead of make comments, the spam is getting past the mollom checks there as well.

The forum spammers are back! This time it's something about Hermes handbag replicas, or some such... :-(

Ingenious... the URL which should be pointing to the user profile is instead pointing directly to a spammer's commercial site ("china-knobs...").

Yeah, the site is currently

Yeah, the site is currently configured so that anonymous users must provide some kind of contact information, which is the field the spambot was using. Once upon a time I was apparently considered a deterrent. It does nothing now...
