ALEX: While Twitter maintains we are fully justified in our actions to ban users who are engaged in doxxing and other dangerous activities, we recognize that the specific rules we’ve put in place may be a little difficult to fully understand.
CUSTOMER: You don’t say.
ALEX: To alleviate this problem we’ve brought in our best Tech Writer to sort through all the decisions made over the last few weeks in order to create a unified policy that clearly, explicitly, and definitively explains what users can and cannot do on the platform.
CUSTOMER: Oh, well… that’s something, at least. When will it be ready?
ALEX: It’s still being written, but I’ve asked the writer to join this call and walk you through it.
MARK: Hey there.
ALEX: That’s Mark, the Tech Writer assigned to creating the unified policy. Mark, can you summarize that policy for our customer?
(Silence.)
MARK: Well the first thing you need to understand is that Oceana has always been at war with Eurasia.
ALEX: I’m going to put you on hold for a minute.
