The Pre-Emptive Strike

Comic Transcript

BAILIFF: Next on the docket, Your Honor: Comast v. FCC.

JUDGE: What? What did the FCC do?

COMCAST LAWYER: Well… nothing yet. Actually.

JUDGE: Who are you, sir?

COMCAST LAWYER: I’m Counsel for Comcast.

JUDGE: I see. So if the FCC has done “nothing yet,” by your own admission, exactly why are you filing suit?

COMCAST LAWYER: Because they’re going to vote to regulate th Internet as a utility under their Title II authority.

(Silence.)

JUDGE: And?

COMCAST LAWYER: And we really don’t want them to.
