ALEX: Sir, we understand that change can be a frightening and frustrating process, especially when it involves a platform with a UI that has been fairly consistent over the last decade and a half.

CUSTOMER: … but?

ALEX: Beg pardon?

CUSTOMER: Usually when someone says something like that, it’s followed up with contrasting information. For example “but, we really think this is the best direction for the company right now” or “but we feel in time you will appreciate the advantages the change brings.”

ALEX: Oh. How about “but my boss really wanted to see you all suffer…”

CUSTOMER: Needs work.
