And Two Makes A Set

Comic Transcript

VOICE: If I understand you correctly, you claim to own a patent on the process by which painfully obvious functionality is added to a smartphone–and since we have painfully obvious functionality in our smartphone, you’re accusing us of violating that patent.

ALICE: That’s correct.

VOICE: Are you sure that patent is yours? Apple has been making noises about suing smartphone makers who use Android for reasons that sound awfully close to it.

ALICE: It’s ours. Apple does own a patent that frequently gets confused with ours.

VOICE: Which one is that?

ALICE: Patent Number 4773827-114-8822, “Process for adopting pre-existing functionality and pretending we thought of it first.”
