JUDGE: Mr. Schreck, please tell the court what EVIDENCE you have that… you… are guilty of violating your employer’s intellectual property.
VIKTOR SCHRECK: I regret that I am unable to do so, Your Honor.
JUDGE: And why not?
VIKTOR SCHRECK: The information we gathered about my activities was extracted from a Federal Database we are building to help the Federal Government monitor the online activities of suspected terrorists. I’m afraid our evidence has been sealed in the interests of National Security and cannot be released at this time.
JUDGE: Sealed? So you’re expecting me to just take your word for it that you have this evidence, and that it is damning enough to render a guilty verdict?
VIKTOR SCHRECK: Yes, Your Honor.
JUDGE: Mr. Schreck, it doesn’t work that way. We don’t convict people in this court without reviewing the evidence first!
JUDGE: We don’t, do we, Bailiff?
BAILIFF (offscreen): Not yet, Your Honor.
