ANDY (GOOGLE DEVELOPER): You’ve got us all wrong, Scott. Google is very committed to not being evil — unfortunately, in order to compete in this market we’ve been forced to make some concessions to reality.
SCOTT: Concessions?
ANDY: That’s right. We don’t WANT to do these things, but we’re forced to in order to stay in the game. We try to minimize our involvement in these less-than-noble activities in order ot remain competitive, and hopefully to make the entire industry a little better as a result.
SCOTT: So you only use the occult to develop software because market forces drove you to it?
ANDY: No, we’ve always done that.
