ALICE: What now?
BOSS: Apparently, if we wished, we could modify our operating system to put more rigorous controls on the computer it runs on, so that the computer manages its power intake more efficiently. This is supposed to be good for the environment.
ALICE: I think we can do that, yes.
(Silence.)
BOSS: Can we modify the operating system to manage a computer’s power more wastefully?
ALICE: I’ll ask Phil.
