KING: I’ve got money riding on this, man. Tell you what: you make the 50,000 word deadline by Thursday, and I’ll cut you in on my take.
MARK: Did you just offer a writer money as an enticement to meet a deadline?
KING: Yes.

MARK: You do know that drastically reduces the chances the deadline will ever be met, don’t you?
KING: Well I do now.
