MARK (Writing): A low, guttural snarling could be heard outside — snarling combined with a howling that chilled the soul. “Barricade the door!” the professor cried.
MARK (Writing): “I can hear them,” she said. “They know we’re here. They can smell our fear.” “I know,” the professor said. “I fear we will not live to see the dawn.”
MARK (Writing): There was a pounding at the door. They would be through soon. “Goodbye, professor,” she said. “Goodbye, my dear,” the professor said. “Die bravely.”
The door shattered. There, standing in the doorway, silhouetted in the moonlight, they looked upon their doom, and knew despair.
MARK: That’s it. I’m done.
KING: You’re done?
MARK: I’m done.
KING: Run it through the thing they use to officially tally the wordcount.
