KING: Mark, no time for social niceties. There’s a pool going around the office on whether or not you’ll actually finish this “NaNoWriMo” thing. And right now the odds are that you’re going to crack up three days in.
MARK: Yeah, I know.
KING: Well, I’m going against the bookies on this. I think you can make it to the end, and I’ve put a fair amount of money on the line to prove that point. So I’m here to make sure you get through this ill-advised venture.
MARK: Yeah, but King, Everwinter Fights 2 just went gold. It went GOLD! What am I going to do?
KING: Easy. Don’t buy it until December.
(Silence.)
MARK: What else can I do?
KING: You can pay me back every dime I’m going to lose.
