TV PERSONALITY: The software industry was stunned today when an independent third party released a study that claimed Linus Torvalds, creator of the Linux kernel, did not, in fact, create that kernel.
TV PERSONALITY: According to the report, the kernel is “far too complex for a lone individual to have created it,” and after careful study it concludes it’s more likely that “he probably nicked it from someone at some point.”
TV PERSONALITY: A spokesman for Ubersoft, though claiming no involvement in the study, hailed it as “confirmation of every warning we’ve ever made about the scurrilous operating system known as ‘Linux.'”
TV PERSONALITY: Linus Torvalds was contacted for his reaction to the report, but he was laughing too hard to answer clearly.
