CUSTOMER: I’m having a little problem with this game, UberQuest… I started playing what seems like only hours ago… and now it seems three days have passed.

ALEX: It’s Einsteinian physics at work, sir.

ALEX: It’s called “Time Dilation.” You see, this game is simply an organized expression of hardware and software, all of which is powered by electricity, which runs at speeds very close to the speed of light. And the closer you approach the speed of light, the slower time seems to move around you.

CUSTOMER: But I use a computer at work, too, and time slows to crawl there.

ALEX: In a cube farm the known laws of physics simply do not apply.
