ALEX: So we don’t actually have a team of programmers working around the clock to make our products more secure?
ALICE: Well, we do, in a way…
ALICE: It’s just that our press releases are designed to make customers feel that we’re doing something about the products they’ve already bought. And we release the occasional patch, but mostly the programmers are working on features for the next version of Nifty Doorways, “Foghorn.”
ALEX: So this is basically a crafty way of starting the ad campaign for Foghorn early?
ALICE: Early? We’re a few weeks late.
