ALEX: Ubersoft Technical support, Alex speaking. how can I help you today?

CUSTOMER: I’ve been waiting for more than three months to get this stupid $50 mail-in rebate, and I want to know what’s holding it up.

ALEX: Did you send in a photocopy of your receipt, as well as apiece of the software box as proof of purchase?

CUSTOMER: Yes.

ALEX: Did you attach to both the authorized rebate coupon provided by the store where you purchased said software?

CUSTOMER: Yes.

ALEX: Did you also attach a photocopy of your birth certificate, or some other official document that can be used as proof of identification?

CUSTOMER: Yes.

ALEX: Did you go to an authorized medical lab and submit a sample of blood for DNA testing?

CUSTOMER: What? No, of course not.

ALEX: Sir, if you’re not willing to take this seriously then I can’t help you.
