BOSS: It will be a glorious thing, this game.. It will ensnare the hearts and souls of a legion of computer gamers across the world… And none will suspect. After all, who can be wary of something so innocuous as a computer game?
ALEX: Well, conservative watchdog groups in the US have long decried the lack of morality in computer games, and have also associated computer games with the “evil hacker Culture” that they’re always going on about.
BOSS: True. But this is not insurmountable.
ALEX: And liberal interest groups often accuse computer games of stereotyping and objectifying women, as well as desensitizing gamers to violence, stunting them emotionally.
BOSS: Ah. Yes. The liberal element. Still, this too can be managed.
ALEX: And a few religious groups have been known to protest that computer games are “Satanic” as well as “panderinge to witchcrafte most fowle.”
BOSS: We estimate the backlash from the Religious Right will boost sales by 400%.
