Continuity Check

Webcomic Storyline:

Comic Transcript:

MONK: Mark, I've got Phil here and I put you on speakerphone.

PHIL: Hey Mark. Been a while.

MARK: Phil? That you?

PHIL: Yeah. things haven't really been the same since you went off to do your Top Secret thing.

MARK: Look, it's great to hear from you and all, but what does Marketing have to do with this error message?

PHIL: Huh?

MARK: I heard you got moved to Marketing. Because Apple turned you into a fancy dresser with a mustache.

PHIL: Oh, that. No, I'm back to normal now.

MARK: You are?

PHIL: Yeah, the Apple conditioning didn't take, Drinky got me drunk, I'm back to my old self.

MARK: So this is probably all your fault, then.

PHIL: Just like old times!

Oh! I thought you were

Oh! I thought you were pointing out a typo. :D

This was just a brief diversion. The original comic had Mark talking to Phil like he was just Phil, but then I remembered Mark was actually still around when Phil was "upgraded," but wasn't around when he came back. So... I figured I needed to address it.

EDIT: aaaaaand, I'm an idiot. Continuity "check." Right. You can tell I don't play a lot of chess.

I thought about also saying

I thought about also saying something about how the upgraded Phil was more likely to get to the "mating" part, but decided you'd had enough punishment.

Hey, you can't help being

Hey, you can't help being adorable - and THAT was an adorable response!

Did Drinky getting him drunk

Did Drinky getting him drunk do the trick? Because Phil never stopped drinking according to this.

Ah, I see. Haven't made it

Ah, I see. Haven't made it quite that far on my reread yet. Thanks!
