Negative Re-Enforcement

Comic Transcript

ALEX: Sir, here at VerizoT&T we value our relationship with our customers, and we do everything we can to keep that relationship.

ALEX: The core of any relationship is to provide incentives to stay. And we work very hard at doing exactly that.

CUSTOMER: You don’t provide incentives to stay. You make promises you don’t keep, then threaten us with ridiculous fees the minute we start thinking about going somewhere else. We’re not staying because we love your service, we’re staying because we think it’s too complicated to leave!

ALEX: A negative incentive is still an incentive.

CUSTOMER: I don’t think I like you very much.
