Webcomic Storyline:

Help Desk, by Christopher B. Wright

Comic Transcript:

CUSTOMER: Can you help --

ALEX: No.

I'd planned a different comic today, but I was inspired by a comment from Crank Caller in yesterday's comic.

Awarding Prediction Points

Although he didn't get the dialog exactly right, Crank Caller (from yesterday's strip comments) should probably get a prediction point that today's strip is possibly the shortest Chris could write. Congratulations.

Brevity is

That's it, pack it in folks. Chris has distilled the entirety of Help Desk down to one panel and four words. We've hit it the apex.

No, we can do better!

Customer: Can -
King: -Not.

Monk: *pickup, immediate hangup*

Hmm.

When you've distilled a concept down to its purest form, where is there left to go?

Will there be new Episodes?

Hello,

i like your Webcomic

There wasn't a new episode since the 2.3.12 and now I'm wondering will there be new episodes?

i hope so.

RE: New episodes?

On the other hand, if the author has decided that the strip has run its course and he is ending it, I would prefer an announcement to that effect rather than to be left hanging.

In the old days...

... if I didn't update for a week my readers wouldn't blink. That's what I get for updating without fail from October to February. You're all getting terribly spoiled. ;-)

Sorry for the missing week, everyone. No, I'm not quitting. Just hit a dry spot is all.

RE: In the old days...

In the "Belfry Comic Index" you used to list this as a weekly comic. At that time, being absent for a week meant one missed strip. You currently list it as daily. It's still just a matter of not knowing what is happening.

Well...

... I don't actually maintain my entry in the Belfry Webcomic Index. I do notice it was just updated, though.

RE: In the old days...

*Happy*

Heyyy, no problem with the missing week i'm so happy that there will be updates and a dry spot is something that everyone sometimes ran in.

Try to think creative and it will be gone.
