STAN: There, see? Lights are back on. I told you it wouldn’t take long.

MARK: It took two weeks!

STAN: That’s not long.

MARK: It’s long enough. We’re on a schedule here. We at least need to be given enough time in advance to back up our work and make contingency plans.

STAN: We need a Verified Engineer’s Implementation Notice for that.

MARK: A what?

STAN: “Verified Engineer’s Implementation Notice.” We can’t actually do any work unless it’s been processed through the group that evaluates each notice. So you’d have to open one and put it through the process first.

(Silence.)

STAN: Around here you can’t get anything done without opening a–

MARK: I get it.
