Whichever Way The Wind Blows

Comic Transcript

CUSTOMER: Last year you guys issued a statement in support of “Net Neutrality.”

ALEX: Yes. At that time we were afraid telco monopolies like Time Warner and Comcast would enter into agreements with our competitors that would give them preferential bandwidth on the Internet and we wanted to make sure that didn’t happen.

CUSTOMER: A few months later you opposed a bill being pushed through Congress that would have made Net neutrality the law of the land.

ALEX: That’s right. At that time we were afraid that if we regained our dominance in the market a Net Neutrality law would prevent us from forcing our competitors into an Internet ghetto.

CUSTOMER: So in the past year you have both supported and opposed Net Neutrality. What’s your official position?

ALEX: We support whatever will make us the most money at any given time.
