My day job is “government contractor.” This is a little inconvenient at the moment, since it seems likely the government is shutting down on Friday at midnight for an indeterminate length of time.
This means I may be getting a mandatory unpaid vacation starting Monday and lasting until politicians stop being idiots.1
I’m not entirely sure how everything is going to pan out — I may know more in an hour, or in a day. It shouldn’t have any immediate effect on the comic, though if the shutdown lasts for too long money will become an issue and it may be reclassified as an “unnecessary luxury item.”
