Schlock Mercenary Nominated for Hugo Award

I should have posted this earlier, but I’m running behind on everything. I’m tagging this “Site News” because I consider it worth putting into the RSS Feed.

Howard Tayler, creator of my favorite Science Fiction webcomic Schlock Mercenary, has been nominated for a Hugo Award under the category “Best Graphic Story.” I was a fan of the comic since I first saw it back in our Keenspot days, and I’m a particular fan of the story arc that got him nominated, The Longshoreman of the Apocalypse.

Congratulations, Howard, on a well-deserved nomination! Those of you who have never read Schlock Mercenary should head on over there and check it out for the first time. Those of you who already follow it, join me in congratulating him.

He will apparently be saving up for a trip to Australia in order to attend the awards in person, so while you’re at it buy some of his stuff.
