Technology Is Not Your Friend, But This Shirt Might Be

Submitted by C B Wright on

I am now selling merchandise:

I tried selling t-shirts a long, long time ago... it never caught on. But I really like this design, so I'm going for it again: "Technology Is Not Your Friend" is now more than just a spiffy site motto, it's a wearable spiffy site motto. Wear it to work... especially if you work in IT.

I am currently selling this through Zazzle because I can't afford to buy my own stock and ship it myself. A basic t-shirt sold at my Zazzle storefront sells for $14.95, with discounts for bulk purchases. Zazzle lets you choose your own T-shirt style and color with a pretty nifty web app (written in Flash, I think). Different styles affect the sale price.

(Also, assuming you're interested, I don't advise getting a shirt in a color other than black or white -- the image doesn't seem to work well on gray, yellow, green, blue, etc.)

So swag

Such nice Swag. so nicely snagged. Hopefully I shall be the first to order from the revival!

and ordered!

Ordered a large t-shirt, black. I hope it wears as nice as it looks.

Well...

I ordered the basic white one (as a test sample) and it seems to fit pretty well.

I actually ordered the basic white one about four times, because I kept getting the image size wrong. And the blue background refused to show up. There were a lot of issues with this shirt, actually... but they should be all worked out at this point.

If there are any issues with the shirt, let me know!

I'm in.

Once I can afford it, I'm getting one of these in black. It would be a good birthday gift for me (Saturday), but parents don't like buying gifts online. I've had 2 J!NX shirts and one ThinkGeek shirt on my birthday/Christmas list for the past 2 years.

All those styles ... and not

All those styles ... and not a single one with a pocket. I'm lost without a shirt pocket.

I think adding a pocket

I think adding a pocket would probably complicate the printing process...

Yes. But it would result in

Yes. But it would result in one more sale. Dilemma of the entrepreneur. Does the demand justify creating the supply?

Another dilemma. Is it really necessary to force commenters to go through the preview step to post their comments? Preview is a nice option but an annoying mandate.

I believe the preview option...

... is designed to discourage comment spam. Anything that discourages comment spam is usually annoying to anything that isn't a bot.

I'll take a look at the config options, though.

Nope. Nevermind. Anything

Nope. Nevermind. Anything that limits spam is worth a certain level of annoyance. Better than capcha, though kitten capcha is kinda neat.

Recieved shirt. =(

I got my shirt in black today, the image has black lines all along it, it looks pretty faded really. do they have some sort of a return policy or that jazz?

Blast...

I'll look into it.

When I tested the print I ordered a white shirt, and the image looked good on it. I didn't think to test the black shirt, though.
